<-By the way, these are not my feet and I also retrieve all the pictures I blog about via photobucket :] ->
So, while I attempt to think about what I should write today, I think about why my feet smell.
First off, let me say that I wash my feet and body every single day, and very well too.
My feet smell. I know for a fact my feel smell because I've been on my feet all day and wear the same sneakers day by day due to work & school [and they're very comfortable woman's Nike's!] and also because of some "curse" my father's side of the family has. But we also have the "curse" of the silent but deadly but hey, I'm not discussing that right now.
The issue of smelly feet is, in my opinion, huge. In some cultures [and in some households that like cleanliness], it is preferred for one to leave their shoes at the doorway before they enter the household. But what if they're insecure because they're feet smell? Do they just take off their shoes anyway then spray perfume on them or do they just not enter the household? I personally had this dilemma once and decided not to go in. My boyfriend at the time protested but understood since we were only visiting for a short period of time. It's an embarrassment and it stabs at your self esteem.
Then there's also the issue of taking off your shoes in someone's home that you're comfortable with. I personally do not like bras, pants, or shoes, but I need to wear them. Most opportunities I get, I take off my shoes if that person is comfortable with me doing so in their household.
Incident: I took off my shoes and everyone gave me the face. You might know the face. It's the face that people give when someone threw a large fart in the middle of a room. It's the face you give when you smell someone's vomit. It's that face you give when you smell poo. Nevertheless, the moment I took off my sneaker, everyone in that room gave me the face, all four of them and a baby. I honestly don't understand why they smelled so bad that day, but they did. My ex boyfriend at the time [whom I hung out with] kept spilling comments on how bad they smelled like corn chips. It was disgusting, but I tried putting perfume and covering the smell, but that didn't work. Persistently he made fun of me for about half an hour to an hour until I finally had the courage to go to the restroom and wash them. My friend [not the boyfriend] kept telling the ex to shut up because it was making me feel bad, but he didn't.
Shows what kind of 'boy' I went out with.
But anyway, the point of this blog is to kind of ask why people criticize others bodily odor in such a demeaning manner. I understand you want to make fun of the persons odor, but can one keep their mouth shut until the person leaves so they don't feel like complete shit?

Nail Polish vs Society Rant
Most women love nail polish. It gives them an opportunity to express themselves through what they wear on their fingernails [if they cannot express themselves through clothing or makeup for example].
However, some might see this as stereotypical since woman are supposed to be feminine and beautiful.
Well I say, screw what society tells us. We are who we are. We woman can be whom we want to be because we are our own individual persons. If we don't want to wear nail polish, we don't need to. If we don't want to spend 10 bucks on a single vile of this intoxicating liquid, then we don't need to. If we do not want to put acrylic nails over our fake nails because you'll feel it demeans you as a person, you don't need to. Nail polish is an optional beauty product and is not necessary-as is ANY other beauty product.
Society tells us that we need to look beautfiul for others, but what if we are beautiful inside and out? What if we do not want to wear makeup to please others but wear makeup to please ourselves? WE can do that! It's not illegal. We are women. We are power. We are the bearers of society. So if no one likes it, they can kiss our asses :]
On another note: If you love makeup, love to make yourself beautiful to please yourself, love nail polish and love that intoxicating smell, then hey, that's you because I'm riding on that same boat with you sister.
I'm just showing the other point of view of the story because I've been told numerous times to "beautify" myself to please the man's eye, to make myself a drone so I could fit in with all the other fake people out there. To make myself not who I am just so people can accept me.
As an adult, I realize that we need not care about what people think about us because that constant obsession to be someone we're not will just be an ultimate internal downfall. As a teenager, I was constantly obsessed with trying to fit in because I was different. I was scared to share my opinion on things because they were different. If I could meet my younger self now, I would pat her on the back and say there is nothing wrong with being different. Being different is a benefit because those people who are different will make a great impact on society in the near future.
So I say if you want to express yourself through your nail polish, in what ever manner you want to express it in, go ahead. [unless you attend an environment where nail polish is prohibited then, obviously, you can't really do that!] If you want to express yourself through makeup, then more power to you! If you want to express yourself through art, music, acting, science, math, anything, then awesome! Expressing one's individuality is key into making the world a better place for people whom are not clones of everyone. Speak, shout, paint, just do it. We all need to be heard. :]

Worklife: Job vs Career
Throughout my short working life [about 2-3 years] I've found out a lot about myself. One, that I am the type of worker that knows what needs to be done [learned over time through experience], that I have a strong work ethic because I actually give a crap [even if I hate the job because I feel that the customer comes first and that the company depends on the customers to survive], and that if I see one of my co-workers doing the job wrong, I either tell them how to do it correctly and/or do it myself. Because of this, and other variables, I believe I have the capability to potentially be a well-rounded individual as a worker.
However, if you work in the work environment I do [and I am not going to disclose that information], you would begin to think there is extreme favoritism and unfairness there. I'm not trying to sound like a whining [excuse my language] bitch, but it's true.
Fine, the managers and the employees talk to the workers as if they're best friends. Fine, they talk in a different language [and think it's some "secret code" when anyone that can speak that language could interpret what they're saying]. Fine, they get longer breaks then us "non-in crowd" people, but come on' THIS IS NOT HIGH SCHOOL.
Why do I say that my work environment feels like high school? Well, it's for many different reasons. It feels as though there is the favoritism, which I mentioned above. I feel there is an unfairness in the work environment [such as some people can take longer breaks then others, and those who are not in the "in crowd" get penalized for taking the longer breaks their peers are taking rather then the peers themselves]. Sometimes you get made fun of. I understand if it's just playing around but honestly, people need to grow up and act their age sometimes. I don't understand why they continuously mention a topic that happened weeks ago and still find it funny. Isn't that kind of harassment? Possibly no, I'm not really sure. But I just think it's a load of bull shit and they should just get over it.
Rant:
Another thing, I hate coming to this job. Mostly due to the favoritism but also due to the policies and how the higher authority treats us "little people." Dude, you're new and you're bossing me around? I'm at the same work level as you, possibly earn more money then you, and you're telling me what to do? You do not know anything about the company and you expect me to listen to you due to your know-it-all and cocky personality? Fuck out of here. I talk back. I'm not a passive nor aggressive person, I'm an assertive person. I stand up for what I think is right. Do not mistreat me and my rights as a person or employee of the company or there will be a problem. I will associate myself to the higher authority above you and your job will be at risk. Continue to do your job, do not expect me to pick up your slack, and everything will be fine. -breathes- And that's how I feel towards some associates that work with me -twitch-
-Clears throat- The point is to show that this is just a job. Sure, there could be a few friendships made and possible Facebook friends added, but that is all. And of course they're going to be the daily things that will piss you off, but you have to understand at the end of the day, it's just a job so you need to brush it off your shoulder and move on. You do not need to further yourself in the company unless you feel you need to, otherwise, do your job and everyone can just act regular.
Since I currently still work a job instead of a career, I am half-expecting things for a career. I believe that a career should be fun. It should be something that you want to do and excited to do. It should be something that you want to get up for in the morning besides your family. It should be something that you actually give a crap about and want to further yourself in and want to make the best of that situation, regardless of the pay. It should be more about the experience in the field itself rather then the money.
That's what I believe a career should be versus the hell hole that most people in America suffer that has a job. Maybe we should all work together as a country and further fund specialized schools so people can get careers instead of jobs because being happy is all that matters in life, right?
